Gibson has not played since suffering a Grade 3 MCL sprain during Cleveland's Week 12 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The injury typically takes 6-8 weeks to recover from, which would have kept Gipson out for the rest of the regular season, but he is confident he can return for the Browns' trip to Carolina Week 16.
Despite missing the last two games, Gipson still leads the NFL in interceptions with with six. Gipson is a big part of a much-improved Cleveland secondary that has been playing very well over the last half of the season.
Veteran Jim Leonhard has been filling in well for Gipson, with an interception in each of the last two games.
