Buccaneers Injury Update: Lavonte David evaluated for concussion

By on 12/10/2014 09:53:00 AM

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' linebacker Lavonte David left Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions in the second half with a possible concussion.

After taking a knee to the helmet in the second half of Sunday's game, Lavonte David was able to walk off the field. Lavonte David was immediately evaluated for a possible concussion, but updates to Lavonte David's health have not since been made available. Lavonte David was already on the Bucanneers injury report prior to Sunday's game; David came into the game listed as questionable with a lingering hamstring injury he has been dealing with for a few weeks. The Buccaneers already had a banged up linebacker core. If Lavonte David is scheduled to miss significant time, expect the Bucs to sign another linebacker this week.

A 2012 second round pick out of Nebraska, Lavonte David has already established himself as one of the premier linebackers in the league. David currently leads the team in both solo tackles and assisted tackles with 84 and 35 respectively.
