Bucks Injury Update: Ersan Ilyasova out four games

By on 12/04/2014 07:30:00 AM

The Milwaukee Bucks headed into Wednesday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks coming off a 111-108 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Brandon Knight lead the Bucks with 27 points, who fell to 10-9 on the season, third in the Central Division. On the injury front, power forward Ersan Ilyasova, who had nine points in 12 minutes, will miss the next four games due to a fractured nose and concussion.

C.F. Gardner, who covers the Bucks for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel added that Ilyasova likely wont return until December 13 at the earliest. When he returns, Ilyasova will probably wear a protective mask. Expect Jabari Parker, Jared Dudley, Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo to see extra minutes until Ilyasova returns. It will be interesting to see what kind of lineup the Bucks will employ when he returns, particularly if those mentioned above play well in his absence.

Ilyasova, in his seventh NBA season, averaged 11.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in 55 games last season. He struggled to 40.9 percent shooting form the floor and 28.2 percent from three-point range. Ilyasova has played his entire NBA career with the Bucks and has career averages of 10.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
