Dolphins Injury Report: Mike Wallace, Cortland Finnegan, Charles Clay

By on 12/07/2014 12:46:00 PM

The Miami Dolphins get set to host the Baltimore Ravens in a game that could have crucial implications on the AFC Wild Card race. Both teams come into this game with identical 7-5 records. Miami currently has the inside track on the sixth and final playoff spot in the conference, but that could easily change by day's end.

If the Dolphins are going to stop Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense, they are going to have to do so without a few of the key components of their defense. On Wednesday, the Dolphins ruled linebacker Jonathan Freeny (hamstring) and cornerback Jamar Taylor (shoulder) out of today's game.

Cornerback Cortland Finnegan, originally listed as doubtful, will be inactive today with an ankle injury according to James Walker of Another doubtful who is now officially inactive is guard Nate Garner (illness). Linebacker/defensive end Chris McCain has also been ruled out with an ankle injury.

The Dolphins listed tight end Charles Clay as questionable in their injury report with a hamstring/knee injury. However, Sean d'Oliveira of CSB Sports reports Clay will be active for today's game.

Probables for today include wide receivers Mike Wallace (chest) and Brian Hartline (knee), center Samson Satele (ribs), linebacker Jelani Jenkins (shoulder), offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James (neck), and safety Jimmy Wilson. Wilson did not show up on the injury report until Friday when he was limited in practice with an unspecified injury.
