Falcons Injury Report: Robert Alford, Harry Douglas, Roddy White

By on 12/08/2014 02:45:00 PM

The Atlanta Falcons don't expect to be dealing with too many new injuries when they take on the Green Bay Packers on “Monday Night Football,” but could be missing some significant players.

Atlanta has just five players listed on its final Week 14 injury report. Of those, only starting cornerback Robert Alford has been officially ruled out.

Alford with miss his third straight game after breaking his wrist Week 11 against the Carolina Panthers. That means backups Robert McClain and Josh Wilson will continue to get more playing time in place of Alford, which is a concern against Green Bay's passing attack.

Wide receiver Roddy White was unable to practice until Saturday and is questionable with an ankle injury. White missed last week's game with the injury, but his return to limited practice late in the week improves his chances to play on Monday night.

Fellow receiver Harry Douglas did not practice on Thursday due to a foot injury but is expected to play. If White and Douglas are active but limited in any way, Atlanta's depth at the position will be tested.

Reserve defensive end Stansly Maponga was limited in practice all week with an elbow injury and is questionable. Left guard Justin Blalock is probable with a back injury to round out the injury report.

Injuries on the offensive line early in the season have really hurt the Falcons, but they still lead the NFC South division at 5-7. Atlanta would remain in first place even with a loss to the heavily-favored Packers.
