The Miami Heat fell to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday by the score of 112-102. Dwyane Wade had 28 points and Chris Bosh added 27 in the losing effort. With the loss, the Heat dropped to 9-9 on the season, third in the Southeast Division. To make matters worse, Luol Deng (pictured below while with the Bulls), injured his right hand during the game. The injury, which has been diagnosed as a bone bruise, will be further evaluated today.

Michael Walace, who covers the Heat for, tweeted the following on Deng's injury.
Wallace added that Deng was injured when he landed on his right hand as he fell to the floor when trying to draw a charge in the second quarter. Deng was limited to 17 minutes and did not play in the second half. The good news is that X-rays taken post game were negative.

The injury, which has been diagnosed as a bone bruise, will be further evaluated today.  Should Deng be unable to play, expect James Ennis, Danny Granger and Shawne Williams to see additional minutes on the court.

Deng, in his 11th NBA season out of Duke, is averaging 13.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this season. The veteran has played for the Bulls and Heat and has career averages of 16 points and 6.3 rebounds in 694 games.
