I reported on November 17 that Kidd-Gilchrist, who was dealing with a stress fracture, was expected to miss a few games. As it turned out, Kidd-Gilchrist is taking longer to heal than anticipated and hasn't appeared in a game since November 11.
Rick Bonnell, who covers the Hornets for the Charlotte Observer, tweeted the following update on Kidd-Gilchrist.
Clifford indicates earliest MKG might play is a week from tonight vs. the Celtics.Kidd-Gilchrist, in his third NBA season out of Kentucky, is averaging 9.8 points on 62.5 percent shooting and 5.5 rebounds per game this season. In 62 games last season, he averaged 7.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. Kidd-Gilchrist has career averages of 8.3 points on 46.9 percent shooting and 5.6 rebounds per game.
