The Utah Jazz fell to the Washington Wizards on Sunday by score of 93-84. The loss dropped the Jazz to 6-18 on the season, fourth in the Northwest Division. Alec Burks lead the Jazz it 19 points in the loss. The Jazz were without Derrick Favors with a foot injury. The good news is his is questionable for Tuesday and could be back soon.

I reported on December 13 that Favors left the game against the Miami Heat with an ankle injury after playing only ten minutes. He was seen leaving the arena in a walking boot.

Tony Jones, who covers the Jazz for the Salt Lake Tribune, tweeted the following update on Favors. added that since the Jazz have three more games this week after Wednesday, Rudy Gobert should continue to see additional minutes in Favors' absence. Since Gobert is filling in nicely, the Jazz can take the conservative approach with Favors.

Favors, in his fifth NBA season, is averaging 15.6 points on 56.2 percent shooting from the floor and 8.2 rebounds per game. The veteran forward out of Georgia Tech has played for the Nets and Jazz and has career averages of ten points and seven rebounds per game.
