Kings Injury Update: DeMarcus Cousins will miss another week

By on 12/08/2014 01:57:00 PM

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will miss another week as he recovers from a meningitis virus that caused him to miss the Kings last five games, according to USA TODAY.
Sacramento is now 10-10 in the Western Conference standings and a game and a half out of the playoff picture.

The team's upcoming opponents are the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Cousins would certainly be a giant help through those five games, as all of them feature above-average front courts, except for maybe the flailing Los Angeles Lakers.

The Kings have garnered a 1-4 record without their star big man, who was playing like an MVP before he contracted the illness. He was averaging 23.5 points and a league-leading 12.6 rebounds through 15 games.
