Rams Injury Report: Chris Long, Rodger Saffold, Scott Wells

By on 12/10/2014 07:12:00 PM

The St. Louis Rams will try to play the role of spoilers when they meet division rivals the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday. The Rams have no shot at the playoffs, but the Cardinals are very close to losing the NFC West and could even lose a playoff spot with a few more losses. The Rams are all relatively healthy going into the contest as well.

The Rams only have one player questionable for Thursday's game, according to the team site, and that is defensive end Chris Long with an ankle injury. He sat out of practice Monday and Tuesday, but had a full practice on Wednesday.

The rest of the Rams players on the injury list are probable. That list includes wide receiver Kenny Britt (not injury related), defensive end Alex Carrington (thigh), tight end Cory Harkey (knee), linebacker Will Herring (foot), linebacker James Laurinaitis (ankle), tackle Rodger Saffold (shoulder) and center Scott Wells (elbow). Of those players, only Harkey practiced on Monday and he was limited. The rest of the players all got in full practices Tuesday and Wednesday, including Harkey.

Long could be a big factor for the Rams if he ends up playing, giving back-up Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton plenty of pressure problems, especially considering how banged up the Cards offensive line is.
