Senators Injury Update: Bobby Ryan suffers broken finger

By on 12/01/2014 01:15:00 AM

The Ottawa Senators couldn't put their "finger" on a timeline for how long they'll be without Bobby Ryan, but they're hopeful his fractured finger isn't serious, according to the Ottawa Citizen.

Slashed in the third period of the club's 3-2 loss to Florida Friday by Brian Campbell, the Senators' winger suffered a fractured finger on his right hand but there's a chance he won't be out long.

The Senators need the swelling to get settled down in the next 48 hours before doctors can take another look. Ryan didn't play Saturday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"He's out for (Saturday). We have to see how it settles down to get a better diagnosis on how long it would be or if he'd be able to play in Long Island," said MacLean Saturday morning.
