Methot was making his return for the first time this season after a back/hip issue kept him out since training camp. However, Ryan had only missed two games with a broken finger, as per the Ottawa Sun. Head coach Paul MacLean said earlier Thursday that Methot would be a game-time decision following the pre-game warmup and that Ryan was also a last-minute decision, as he only wanted Ryan back in the lineup if he could contribute in the game.
Methot has 23 points (six goals, 17 assists) last season with the Senators, while Ryan has 13 points (five goals, eight assists) so far this season.
