Texans Injury Report: Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Garrett Graham

By on 12/06/2014 12:15:00 PM

The Houston Texans are clinging to their slowly fading playoff hopes.  Sitting at 6-6, there's a pack of six teams ahead of them at 7-5 they need to pass to get back to the playoffs after a one year hiatus.  Three of their top offensive threats find themselves on the injury report this week, but both Arian Foster and Andre Johnson are listed as probable and should play, while Garrett Graham is out.

Foster, who has struggled with soft tissue injuries over the last few years is currently dealing with a groin injury sustained against the Eagles week nine.  After sitting out practice Wednesday, Foster was a limited participant Thursday.  The running back was a full participant on Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday.  Foster ran for 79 yards on 19 carries last week in a win against the Titans, after missing the previous two games with the groin injury.  All signs point to him being ready to go in a must win matchup against the Jaguars this Sunday.

Foster's longtime teammate Andre Johnson also sat out practice on Wednesday but practiced in full on Friday.  Unlike Foster, however, Johnson is not dealing with an injury.  He's gotten into the habit of taking Wednesday practices off, one of the perks of being with the Texans for his twelfth season.  Johnson has 65 catches for 720 yards and two touchdowns and will be ready to go on Sunday.

Texans tight end Garrett Graham did not practice all week after suffering an ankle injury.  He has been ruled out for Sunday.  Taking over for former tight end Owen Daniels, Graham has 18 catches for 197 yards and a touchdown.  Expect C.J. Fiedorowicz and Ryan Griffin to fill the hole, though neither is likely to be a significant part of the Texans offensive plan.
