Timberwolves Injury Update: Mo Williams will not play today

The Minnesota Timberwolves head into tonight's game against the Gold State Warriors coming off a 123-101 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Zach LaVine lead the Timberwolves with 22 points in the loss. At 4-15, the Timberwolves sit in last place in the Northwest Division and they will once again be without guard Mo Williams with a nagging back issue.

Williams last played on December 3 against the Philadelphia 76ers and has missed the last two games due to back spasms.

According to the official Twitter account of the Timberwolves, also added that with Williams out, expect LaVine to get the start at point guard. LaVine is averaging 11.6 points, 4.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game this season.

Williams, in his 12th NBA season, is averaging 10.6 points and 6.7 assists per game this season. The well-traveled veteran has played for the Jazz, Bucks, Cavaliers, Clippers, Trail Blazers and Timberwolves and has career averages of 13.3 points and 4.9 assists per game.
