The Minnesota Timberwolves entered Friday's game against the Houston Rockets coming off an 85-77 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, who won their first game of the season. Thaddeus Young lead the Timberwolves with 16 points and six rebounds. At 4-13, the Timberwolves sit in fourth place in the Northwest Division. On the injury front, the Timberwolves continue to play without Nikola Pekovic and Ronny Turiaf, who will be out at least another ten days.

Our own Eric Black reported on November 26 that Pekovic and Turiaf, who have been battling a right wrist  hip injury, respectively, would be out of the lineup.

It appears that both will continue to miss at least a few more games. Jon Krawczynski, who covers the NBA for the Associated Press, tweeted the following on Perkovic and Turiaf.
With Turiaf and Pekovic out, the Timberwolves are very thin at center behind Gorgui Dieng , who scored 15 points and hauled in 16 rebounds in 41 minutes against the 76ers.

Pekovic, in his fifth NBA season,  is averaging 11.9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game this season. Turiaf is in his 10th NBA season out of Gonzaga and has played only 19 minutes in two games this season.
