I reported yesterday that Green injured his left thumb on Tuesday and had an MRI. At the time the MRI results were not revealed and he was considered day-to-day.
An update on Green, as reported by Diamond Leung of the San Jose Mercury News, was that although his thumb was still sore to catch the ball and shoot, he was able to play without any protective wrapping. Green initially injury his thumb while making contact with Channing Frye of the Orlando Magic then hitting his hand on a camera out of bounds.
"You've got to be precise with everything, so I can't wear that wrap today. It ain't broke, so I can play."
Green finished the game with 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting to go along with 14 rebounds in 32 minutes of action.
Green, in his third NBA season out of Michigan State, is averaging 12.5 points and 7.6 rebounds in 31 minutes per game this season. In 179 career games, all with the Warriors, Green is averaging 5.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
