UPDATE: Patriots in search of their next Vince Wilfork


New England Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in New England’s Week 4 win over the Atlanta Falcons.  The Patriots are waiting to see what type of player Wilfork will be in 2014 and as the 2014 NFL Draft approaches the Pats will be in search of their next Sasquatch to roam Route 1.

Remembering the Captain


Growing up as a young sports fan in the New York Metropolitan area I knew a few things for a fact; we have the best pizza, the subways were always crowded, and Derek Jeter played shortstop for the New York Yankees. At the conclusion of the 2014 season, only two of these things will seemingly remain true.

Johnny Cueto, With a Twist


What the Cincinnati Reds will get out of Johnny Cueto in 2014 is anyone's guess. The right-hander had a superb 2012, throwing 217 innings with a 2.78 ERA and 1.17 WHIP, only to spend more time on the disabled list than off it in 2013 as he battled an oblique problem all season - a problem that many have put down to the unusual 'twist' in his delivery. What follows is an examination of Cueto's fortunes since the addition of the twist, both in terms of performance and injury, in an effort to consider what he might be without it.

Jets' Kellen Winslow, Vaseline, changing clothes and synthetic weed


Only a player on the New York Jets could have so much fun and he does not use jelly. Josh Alper of NBCSports reports that New York Jets tight end, Kellen Winslow, responded to an allegation in regards to an incident for possession of synthetic marijuana last November.
